Capital Carboot London – The Best Treasure Hunt

If you want to know where you can pick up affordable antique treasures, head to Capital Carboot in Pimlicio, London. I was keen to seek out beautiful and unique items for my flat, so decided to go along last Sunday morning. The carboot is on every Sunday throughout the year (with a few exceptions) and there are stalls both outside and inside.

Head to No.11 Pimlico Road first, which is a great place to refuel – poached eggs and avocado on sourdough bread, yum! The interiors in this place are just beautiful, and offered the inspiration I was craving. In love with the Moroccan inspired bathroom floor tiles.

Headed on down to The Pimlico Academy, right by St George’s Square and purchased the earlybird ticket for £5. This allows entry from 10.15am before the general public enter from 11.30am (when the cost drops to just £1).

So glad I took advantage of the earlybird  ticket, as with only a few stalls braving it outside, I was quick to secure my treasures. There were antique dealers, sellers with general tat, and professional house clearers.

I ended up with a gorgeous antique globe (something which had been on my wishlist for a long time!), a beautiful sconce,  an ornate mirror which is the perfect size for the bathroom, a country jug (a must!), an old retro Lyons tea canister,  and a gorgeous shabby chic white picture frame with gold distressed edges. All for a total of £60. Taxi for one…..
